What We Expect

>> You'll be totally reliable and experienced in the following for both existing and new tours.  This is predominantly an Office Position. 

>> Planning tours which includes but not limited to the costings, timings & staffing required for various tours.

>> Liaising with operators of tourist facilities where our tours visit which will include meeting via video-conferencing, requesting virtual video tours of said premises and gathering all information of the facilities to ensure all aspects are taken into consideration when planning a tour

>>  Have some previous sales experience since you will be dealing with Operators of Tourist Facilities that our Tours will visit.   In addition you will be a 'lateral thinker' to enable you to bring out the best in existing and new tour destinations.

>> Actively seek out new tour destinations and research all aspects of the destination to ensure it provides not only value for money, but also thorough enjoyment for our Touring Clients.

>>  Planning down to "almost" the minute for each leg of a tour to ensure timetables are met and allowing adequate time for touring clients to enjoy the various locations and events that the tour may encompass

>>  To liaise with Drivers and advising them of the distances for each tour including the timing of the various legs within a Tour.

>>  To be proficient in word, excel and generally quite computer literate including the compilation of spreadsheets.

>> The ability to multi-task and posses the ability to plan, cost & evaluate multiple tours simultaneously

>> Posses an extremely pleasant telephone manner and excellent negotiation skills.

>> You may be required to be away from home from time to time, for example when planning 'multi-day' tours

>>  You are extremely conscientious of your appearance particularly when/if the need arises to visit potential tour destinations for the purpose of evaluation

>>  You always double check your work to ensure all costs & circumstances have been accounted for

>>  You would ideally have at least 2 - 3 years experience as an Estimator, Planner and Coordinator in the Tourism Industry, however other similar roles in other industries will certainly be taken into consideration.

>>  You are able to mix well with people of all nationalities and generally a 'people's person'

>>  You are well organized, and are totally capable of handling the responsibility that such a position demands particularly from a costing, timing & enjoyment point of view 

>>  You take the responsibility of your role the same as if it were your own company and own money invested.

>>  You can accept other tasks that may arise from time to time as an Estimator, Planner and Coordinator at Sunshine Coast Buslines
